Dolly Steamboat

Dolly Steamboat is an attraction close to Gold Canyon, Arizona. The Dolly Steamboat location is on Canyon Lake which is about 35 minutes from Highway 60 and Idaho Road in Apache Junction. Dolly Steamboat is a sightseeing and lunch or dinner cruise stern-wheeler boat that tours on Canyon Lake.

The Dolly Steamboat derived its namesake from original owners Dolly and Paul Kennedy. Tours began under their watch in 1983. In Oct, 1987 Roger and Margie Grimh purchased the Dolly. For 20+ years the Dolly Steamboat has been operated by the Grimh Family.

The Dolly carries 142 passengers with a crew of 3, 103’ long with a beam of 20’. It is powered by twin 225 HP John Deere marine diesel engines.

This “Junior Grand Canyon” tour is consistently rated one of the “Best Things to Do in Arizona” by many tour operators and is a premier Arizona attraction for locals and tourists alike.
