Helping Hands is a local Gold Canyon non-profit organization that provides support services for the home bound and others who benefit from caregiver programs. Their service boundaries are Highway 202 to the North, Queen Valley to the East, Higley Road to the West and Highway 202 to the South. Below are some examples of  the services they offer to their clients.

    • Hospice support by certified Hospice volunteers.
    • Transportation to doctors, dentists and attorney offices.
    • Shopping assistance either for, or with the client.
    • In home companion care, meal prep, and light housekeeping.
    • Daily call checks on client well being.
    • Certified grief counseling for those suffering major loss.
    • Group forums to support caregivers.
Their clients may be recuperating from an illness or are otherwise unable to help themselves because of many of life's health issues.  If you have a few hours to volunteer, they are always looking for added volunteers.

Volunteers for the Gold Canyon Helping Hands organization meet on the third Monday of each month at MountainBrook Village.
