Gold Canyon Golf Resort

The Dinosaur Mountain course has been rated the #1 public course in Arizona for several years. Every tee box presents a panoramic vista and an exhilarating challenge to your game. The course will take you up, over and around Dinosaur Mountain with dramatic tee-to-green elevation changes and long, loping fairways. The views of the nearby Superstition Mountains are spectacular. Signature holes #4 and #5 are among the most memorable in the game!

Sidewinder snakes around the base of Dinosaur Mountain, through natural arroyos and dry creek beds. Native cholla and prickly pear cacti, mesquite and palo verde trees line the challenging twists and turns that will keep you on top of your game. This course is also a scenic adventure that will bring you back again and again. The Sidewinder course is noted for its creative design and challenging desert landscape. Round after round you will experience panoramic vistas.

 


Mountainbrook Country Club

Mountainbrook Country Club’s golf course has the distinction of being “Arizona’s Best New Affordable Course”. It is located in the age 55+ community of Mountainbrook Village but is open to the public. The course offers views of the majestic and beautiful Superstition Mountains. There are rolling greens, generous fairways, sparkling new lakes and crystal white sandtraps.

 

Gold Canyon RV Ranch

"Gold Canyon RV" course at the Gold Canyon RV Ranch facility is an executive 9 hole course. Gold Canyon RV golf course opened in 1985. The course has lush green fairways with the legendary Superstition Mountains in the background. There are sparkling lakes, pristine greens and short waits for tee times. One can play this short course every day and still have time for lots of other activities.

 


Superstition Mountain County Club (Private Course)

The Country Club includes two 18 hole, private courses.

Prospector opened in 1998 offering wide green fairway courses. It’s been the site of the 2002 Countrywide Tradition tournament and is for several years has been the annual home of the LPGA Safeway International. Recently Prospector was selected by Golfweek magazine as one of the “Top 100 Residential Courses.”  

The Lost Gold course opening in 1999 and maintains reputation for playability and meticulous conditions.
The course offers generous fairways, but it possesses greater shot value than the Prospector Course, due to slightly smaller greens and strategic bunker placements.
The Lost Gold Course was the site of the 2002 Senior Slam.

 

 
Gold Canyon Hosts 8th Annual Arts Fest - 2008 PDF Print E-mail

An event in it's 8th year (2008) in Gold Canyon is the Annual Arts Fest. It will be held Saturday January 26th at the Gold Canyon Elementary School located at 5810 S Alameda Road. Hours are 9am until 3pm. The event is free to the general public.  For more information call 480-983-2171.

 
Annual Boyce Thompson Arboretum Live Music Event Nov 10th 2007 PDF Print E-mail
If you are in the area of Gold Canyon Arizona and haven't been outside to enjoy this glorious Autumn weather, Boyce Thompson Arboretum has a perfect excuse on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007. This is the date this year for their annual live music festival. Plan to arrive between 8-10 AM when you can buy a pancake breakfast for $7.50 from Superior's local Rotary Club in the picnic area. After that plan to stay all day to enjoy the live music. Daily admission ($7.50 for adults, $3 for kids age 5-12) includes the music. Read more on Boyce Thompson Arboretum's website
