A.D.O.B.E. is a community organization that meets monthly -- except the summer months when the meetings are dark due to hot weather, and many Gold Canyon residents being away for the summer. The purpose of A.D.O.B.E. is to gather and disseminate to Gold Canyon and its membership information pertaining to any public, private, government, commercial or developmental activities that may affect the present or future character or environment of the community, and to serve as a conduit between those entities and the membership. The meetings are held the third Thursdays of each month at the best Western Motel off of Highway 60 at Kings Ranch Road at the Best Western Hotel. Coffee and cookies at 6:15 pm and the meeting at 7:00pm. (Exception to this location is the summer picnic which in past years has taken place at a private home and everyone brings potluck according the first letter of their last name. And December's meeting is a date exception as it usually takes place on a Saturday or Sunday night in December - usually at the Best Western Motel and again everyone brings potluck according the first letter of their last name.)
