Superstition Mountain Museum is a local Gold Canyon Arizona area treasure. Located on Highway 88 on the historic Apache Trail the museum offers many events, lectures and exhibits with something for everyone. The museum collects, preserves and displays artifacts, history and folklore of the Superstition Mountain area, Apache Junction and Gold Canyon.
There is the famous “Elvis Chapel” which displays movie memorabilia from films that were made at ApacheLand. Additionally there are military exhibits, the Apacheland Barn, which was used in many western movies and a host of other interesting items.
ApacheLand Days have become an annual celebration in Gold Canyon since 2009 and is held in January when there are a lot of winter visitors in the area
The Superstition Mountain Lost Dutchman Museum is located 3½ miles NE of Apache Junction at 4087 N. Apache Trail.
