Peralta Trails is a suburb gated community of Gold Canyon, Arizona east on Highway 60. The community was developed by Del Webb under the name of Desert Glory and is an all-age community. The amenities have been simplified to allow for more open desert land and a common area between areas where homes have been constructed. The development includes a community pool, a community center with fitness equipment, and a cozy library. (See note below, not all amenities are available to every homeowner– depends on the subdivision.)
Hiking and walking trails are in abundance and are accessible right from walking outside one’s front door. Golf courses are nearby.
There are no street lights in the community which makes for some terrific star-watching evenings from one’s own yard.
Peralta Trails Elementary school is located right in the community.
There is a homeowners association.
(IMPORTANT – Please note, the Peralta Trails community was built in three phases. Phase One does not have rights to use the swimming pool and community clubhouse. Only some of the homes in Phase Two, plus the homes in Phase Three have these privileges. This is something to be sure to check if you are planning to buy a home in the Peralta Trails community. Be sure to find out if your home will have the pool, fitness center, and library rights so you are not disappointed once you own the home – if these things are important to you.
Note also that whether a Phase Two home has pool and community clubhouse rights is dependent upon the actual lot number. Check with the Peralta HOA office, or your Realtor, to help you determine if your home will have pool and clubhouse rights.)

Note – update August 2021 — An additional group of homes in the Peralta Trails area has been developed and built in the 2019-2021 years. This newer community is called Peralta Canyon and has added about 750 new homes to the Peralta area. Builders include Gehan Homes, Lennar, and Beazer Homes. Depending on the developer, some of the areas have playground areas, turf, trails, fitness stations, etc.
